Sorry

A deep breath... The coldness of the water surrounding them makes them shudder. The moonlight falls perfectly on the water, divided by every wave. The breeze of the night is warm on Winona's skin and her waist, where his hands are, is burning with that same old fire. The shore is thirty feet away and completely empty. There is nothing but two beating hearts as far as the eye can see.
"You said you would be back." He whispers. He can hear every breaking wave on the shore. Every single one taking away his hope.
"I came back." Winona answers and looks down at her now wrinkled skin. The body she used to cover with a tiny two piece is now sagging from a bathing suit.
"30 years too late!" He hisses at her.
All that leaves her mouth before falling into the silence of the night is:
      "Sorry."
